This blog post is very specific.
It is an Apology to Alison Fairlove who was one of the performers at last year’s Solo Theatre Festival.
Alison is also very dear friend for over 20 years.
Some of you may have noticed that in the last few days that I took down the video of Alison’s performance from the gallery on the web site.
This is because Alison had requested that after it was filmed, I did not show the video publicly. Inadvertently, I put it up contrary to her wishes and for that I am truly sorry.
I am aware that I failed to realize, or to check, that this particular video had been posted, despite a number of recent conversations with Alison.
Finally, I am really grateful to Alison for pointing out how easy it is, in this arena of personal narratives, to lose sight of how deeply we feel these stories, and how sensitive we, and in this case I, need to be when we invite, hear and share ourselves on stage, in public.
