As part of this year’s Festival of Solo Autobiographical Theatre, I am excited to tell you that I am resurrecting my show, Moses Morris Harry and Me. The show will be directed by Mark Drummond.
It tells part of my family’s narrative from the 1840s until 1973, including my own story and experience. It is a story of loss and belonging, exile and displacement, the triumph over trauma and the imperative for peace and human justice for all people, everywhere.
I first performed this show as part of my degree course in conflict transformation, as a way of dealing with some of my own inner conflicts and preparing myself to become a practitioner of Conflict Transformation and a peacemaker. Five years or so later I still feel that I have some unfinished business in that context, and revisiting, rehearsing and performing the show again is part of my personal journey and my healing into wholeness and inner peace.
I would be delighted if you would come and join me on this bit of my path.
The doors will open at 6.30pm. There will be two other (wonderful) performances before mine, so I should be starting on stage at about or just after 9.00pm. Come support them too!
Tickets are priced at £8.00 single, £7.50 each for two, and £5.00 each for five or more.
Let me know if you are planning to come, and please feel free to bring friends.
I look forward to seeing you.
